My Person

Paris· Wanderlusting

16 Mar

In 6 short hours, I’ll be at the airport to go pick up Katie Ellis, just in time for my birthday!  We have a weekend packed with things to do, so I’m glad she’ll be here for longer than just a weekend.

The funny thing is, our friendship has always kind of revolved around birthdays.  We met our sophomore year of high school, when we were both new to the school.  And I was only a little less awkward then than I am now.  However, when her 16th birthday came around I asked what she was doing, she said she was having a party with her friends from Japan.

So, I decided to have a party for her too!  And since then, we’ve been best friends, even though we don’t see each other very often when we’re at school.  It’s the kind of friendship where even when you don’t see each other for a long time, when you finally do it’s like nothing’s changed.  Senior year of high school, one of my teacher’s named her my “joined at the hip girl,” so I’m so grateful she was able to escape Sevilla this weekend to come to me 🙂

The one on the left is Geraldine who turned 21 yesterday! If you see her buy her a drink for me 😉
